Seattle Route

Unread postby moyeraj » Mon Jan 23, 2012 3:54 pm

I need help, I am running Ts2012, and everything runs great ( including several "downloaded routes") but, when I downloaded and installed Seattle, all I get is a Black screen. I have tried several of the activities that came with it, getting the same result. Any ideas that might help me get up and running.

Open the zip up and put it in;Assets\Developer\Addon\RailNetwork\TrackRules. Delete blueprint pak. and it should work.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Make a track rules folder and put the bin inside. Delete blueprint pak, load the route and let me know the result.

I'm reviving this thread because this route causes me problems above all others. There is just something very wrong with what I've got. I have downloaded files, uninstalled and reloaded files more than a couple times hoping to get something that I can use. I have the Seattle Route V1.1 file, the donationware, freeware, and missing route assets files. I have the other two Incoming Freight and the new Track Files that came with 3. I have verified cache and deleted blueprint files. Still, I SBHH on each and every scenario I try. I thought it might be a RW3 issue but the posts above shot that down.

This thread talks about putting a .bin file in the TrackRules folder. What .bin file?

My computer is more than adequate, I think:

i7 2600 processor
12GB RAM
nVidia GTX570 video card

I would appreciate any thoughts about this. I expect this will be one of the good routes but it's unusable now.

Having the same problems with all Ians payware! Have "Donated" for both the Soo Line v4.1,and the Dash 8 pak, and get nothing but "SBHH" with either. It's very discouraging. I to have tried everything, even going so far as to uninstall railworks and even steam. Nothing working with these 2 add-ons.

Jack I just saw this thread. IF you could please send me a list of missing assets. you may have missed something along the way. Do you have rw_tools by chance. i can easily diagnose the issue if you do. just open it up and click route building tools, then check routes and scenarios. click on seattle route and click check selected route. it will populate a list of what you are missing. Chances are its track rules. I did upload two really important files a while back on my blog that fixes this. you should try them first. they are on my blog; eyein12.blogspot.com under the seattle section.

Ian,

I am not missing any assets to the best of my knowledge and I did download a couple files from your blog. However, I still cannot get any of the scenarios to come up. I can only think that there is some legacy left over when I uninstalled the route that is still affecting me when I re-install it. I'll have to try on a virgin Steam load when I get my laptop back up and running. What TrackRules file should I be looking for and is it in the Developer\Add-on folders?

easy way to get rid of leftovers before another install is deleting the route folder. go into railworks/content/routes/77da879d-8d30-4529-9b60-a1af1022ab52 delete this folder. and reinstall the route from my blog. there has been some subtle changes since i last released it, and after the whole megaupload meltdown. and theres only one way to really confirm your not missing anything, rw_tools. if you have it please send me the missing assets list, and i can help you further from that point. but once again everything yo uneed is on my blog. download those 2 fix files if you havent already.

Ian,

I deleted the Seattle folder but did not remove any assets. I installed Seattle Route V1.1, Seattle Route missing stuff. seattle-hotfix, Seattle Donationware Assets, and Seattle Freeware Assets that I downloaded from your website. Checking the route with RWTools, I had 391 missing assets, most all of them in the Seattle-Portland\Environment\terrain\decals folders. They were seattle, tacoma, and tacoma bay subfolders. In addition to these, I have seven more that are missing, one light spot, two bridge, and four container loader files. I only tried a couple free roam scenarios but they crashed as before.

I still don't know what to look for with respect to trackrules to see if I have that.

Ian,

You did a great job on the Soo Line. Simply Love it. Although there some major major issues on the route.

1st The SMM crossing gates come down very late by the time I approach so I am deleting them and readjusting them to a correct way, plus where the cars needs to stop at a crossing. Its no big deal. You just need to do it right.

2nd The switches consist are not working the right way so Im gonna have to add more markers.

3rd The Davenport_fix rar file password is incorrect.

That is all !*salute*!

Last but not least "please note that you may not re-distribute the soo-line route or assets in any way shape or form, with payware or freeware routes" Sorry guys but this is personal route im fixing for me and me only. Cannot provide download !!**sorry**!!
