TAD Lights to other Locos

The other week I purchased Trains and Drivers Enhancement pack for RS2012, which I must say, is worth the money! Anyway I have a bunch of repaints of the TS2012 SD40 and ES44 in my catalog, and the pack did not install the TAD features to the repainted SD40s/ES44s, now is there a way to install the same lights/features on the other locomotives? Looking in the TAD pack, the pack first modifies the default SD40, then has a new .bin file for all of the other SD40s. Is there anything that I need to change in the bin file to copy and paste into the repaints?

Hi Cat,

We are glad you are enjoying... If you are using repaints (I mean is just a new paint, not changing the basic model) of RSC Default it will work.

I'll send you a guideline about.

Here is what I did, I opened up the bin for the default Black SD40 included in the TAD pack. I then renamed the bin to the same bin name as the repainted locomotive. Just doing this though creates another Black SD40, so then I had to go into the bin and change the display names, and where the bin "looks" for the textures and numbering script. Thankful all of this information to change is in the top of the Bin file. After changing these things in the bin it works great with the repaints. All I have to do now is sit down and do the same to my many other repaints! Maybe I can work on it after work tomorrow before our Christmas eve festivities begins......
