Donner was $19.95 USD until Nov. 28th then full price, $39.95. Wait for a sale. Or when they fix it.

Ron, are you trying to buy thru Steam, or another third party? Tell us who you are having trouble with.

On the download link, try right clicking and select "Save target as...".

From your description, it sounds your browser is trying to grab it as a browser compatable file. You may have something misconfigured somewhere.

If you're having problems downloading files from the libray here at RWA, if you could give me some information about the problem you're having, I might be able to help.

What browser are you using, and version?

What happens when you try to download something by clicking on the 'Download' link?

Can you grab a screenshot of this? If not, then when you see it, just hit Ctrl+A on your keyboard, then hit Ctrl+C. That should highlight everything on the page and copy it. Then just open Notepad and hit Ctrl+V and that should paste everything into Notepad. Just save that as a text file and attach it to a post.

A screenshot would be better though. When you see that page of 'computerese', just hit the PrtScn key on your keyboard, then open up MSPaint and and click on the Edit link at the top and then click on Paste. That will paste the screenshot you just grabbed. Then just go to File, then Save As... and select jpg from the drop down menu where it says Save as type, give the file a name and tell Paint where to save the file to. You can then simply attach that image to a post.

Hi Hawk
Thanks for all your efforts, but you are dealing with something of a Comp.dummy here,I still can't get beyond the notepad ,and clicking Print Screen doesn't help,so rather than taking up your time I'll keep fiddling until i get someone here to maybe help me.I'll let you know how I get on.
Thanks

No problem Ron. Let me ask you this though.

Are you using Internet Explorer?
Do you have Flash Player installed?
Do you let Windows Update automatically install updates (I'm guessing you do)?

The reason I ask is because I've read that there has been some problems reported in the past few days involving the latest Flash Player update and Internet Explorer, and I also noticed that Windows Update has an update patch for Flash Player, which it's generally not a good idea to let Windows Update install patches for hardware and software that isn't from Microsoft.

It may be this issue that is giving you problems, that is - if you were able to download files from the library before but suddenly now you can't.

I'm just the lowly webmaster for OpenRails. Unfortunately my antiquated computer won't run it very well, but everyone else seems to have some great comments on it.
Bear in mind that it's a WIP (work in progress) and is far from being finished, but it is usable as is.
It will require the installation of MSTS to function though, as it currently uses MSTS files to operate. I do believe eventually they will get OR to a point that it won't need MSTS anymore though.

If I'm to do any train simming, looks like I'm stuck with that antiquated MSTS.

Well, when you get done spending 'my' money, how 'bout sending me 'my' new computer? I may be able to dig up the shipping charges. !*roll-laugh*!

But seriously, as it's been said a few times, don't upgrade just for RW, and really, that would be the only reason I would even consider spending money I don't have on a new computer. No sense trying to swap hardware on a perfectly good computer, which I would still need for all the old games I still enjoy.
