Donner Pass no go

Unread postby craigk » Fri Nov 25, 2011 6:37 pm

Well 99.9% of the time I read where one of our compradres has an issue with a new item like Donner Pass and I think, to bad for them but glad mine is working fine. Well this time I'm the poor smuck with the problems.

I went and purchased the Donner Pass Route last night and it shows up in the "Drive Route" list. Click on DP and select a scenario (and this applies to all scenarios listed under DP) click on it and it starts to load. Load screens appear on the screen as usual, sound effects of cars being switched on the speakers, all looks well at this point and finally the engineers control panel pops up and....nothing but a big black screen only showing the engineers control panel.

Do any of you have any ideas what may be happening? All the other routes and scenarios work as normal. Such as HSC, NEC, Garbers routes and others.

Run RW tools and it shows all assetts are there.

Now in Steam it says under library all my purchases are there. DP shows up there, but how would I go about deleting DP from RW3 and re-downloading DP to my computer?

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks for your time,

Craig K

You can delete the route with RW_Tools, or you can just go into the Contents folder and find it and delete it manually. Then verify your cache and Steam will download it again. (All 500+mb of it). Sorry you're having trouble. I'm going to pass on this route.

Thanks much my friend for the advice. As always check out the video card driver. I thought mine was up to date but low and behold it was not. All works well now.

Thanks,
