GP 38-2 Lighting Update

Unread postby hughes407 » Thu Oct 27, 2011 7:03 pm

When trying to install MadMike's GP38-2 lighting update for the remainder of JCornell's model repaints, I found a problem with his instructions. They say to search and find the Children entry. In fact, you need to find the second Children entry (it's only a screenful or so lines from the end) and then insert the new code as instructed. Everythings works just dandy then. Thanks, MadMike.

I may have not entered it correctly, you search for the </Children> entry, note the /. that way the light package is the last set of entries in the Children section.

Happy to help bring a great model forward.

Been updating all my reskins of the GP38 and the ones I tested so far seem to work. Many thanks for the patch and code.

I really need to fix the code up for the high hood versions, move the emitter up so it looks a little better. I'll look and see what I need to do, may add another code block for the high Hoods.

I have been trying to get this to work on my GP38-2 Milwaukee. I followed the instructions and used RWTools to edit it but i'm still not getting any light emitting to the ground.
