Its a bird,its a plane....

Since the latest update I have sections of track,all switches,floating high in the sky. Both in the new route I am building,and in Test Trak. I can NOT select the track to delete it. I can not connect new track to it to delete both,either. These are random sections of track,not ones that were on the ground and now in the air. Any Ideas?

there may be a better way but:
the last time I encountered this issue I had to select the ground with a click+hold to get a selection circle, the track in question got selected (along with everything else in the radius) and I was able to delete the flying track.
Of course, there was a bit of collateral damage to replace also

Well I just tried that. It will delete objects on the ground but not in the sky. Jerry's Atlanta route has the same problem,I just found out. The built in routes I checked do not have this problem. It seem you really do have to back up content before a new update. But with steam updating automatically ,that can be hard to do. I had 26 bad files,and had to do a "verify game cache" after last nights update.

Here's an update. The "rails in the sky" do not show in driver. Thats great,but it still bothers me.,that they are there in the editor mode.

odd that it will not snag them - select radius on the ground is supposed to grab everything (unless this has changed in RW3 too

)
only other thing I can say there is try to go directly overhead of the malicious track so you can better judge where in 3D-space-land it is really hovering ... maybe your selection isn't grabbing the pesky ribbon
if all else fails:

clear your cache and they should go away without having to delete anything

Well they are gone. Clearing the cache is a good suggestion,but I do it each time I start RW. I hope to not see these "flying Switches",again, lol!
