And yet, I am having no stability issues at all... and you're the first person I've seen complain that the game won't start, ever.

Have you tried verifying the game cache from Steam? That usually resolves issues for me (that mainly come when Railworks pushes an update).

What are your settings? Do you attempt to play/edit with FSX on or off?

I feel your pain, but just for the record, my system is almost two years old, cost less than $1000 then, not top of the line now, and it runs RW3 fine with all settings to highest, FSX on.

I've never had any issues like that, and I run RW3 on a $400 laptop.

Mine runs fine as long as I run with TSX off, with it on my computer shutters too much and can't get any enjoyment out of the game.

Try running with TSX off and reset the graphics to the lowest possible,

if the problem is only when loading routes, try first clearing the cache, then verify cache with Steam (as suggested) and also check LogMate when initializing the game to see if the route is trying to load missing assets & such

Less than $1K and running "fine" RW3 with "all" settings to "highest", FSX "on"? Did I read that correctly? What's your machine? I'll buy it right now for $2K cash. !*roll-laugh*!

You are welcome, Sir! Like you, I'm also very much interested on that $400 laptop... my laptop is 1 year old, $1.5K (included 40% importing tax) and doesn't play RW3 anyway (SFX on, of course). !*don-know!*

I can't run RW3 with TSX on, but if TSX is off, I can run all the graphic settings at max, and I get framerates usually no lower than 30, and no stuttering. I can run TSX with the graphic settings on medium, but it lags terribly when I turn the headlights on. Before the TS2012 update, I could only run medium graphic settings. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1545, duel core processor 2.00 GHz, 2.00 Gb RAM, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. I'm thrilled to death at the performance without TSX on, and I can live without TSX until I get a higher performance desktop.

Ok, you can have my Asus for that! Runs TS12 with all settings on highest, 1920x1080, 30fps on HSC route? You can buy a new one for $1500 though. !*don-know!*

To the OP of this thread.... are you kidding me? You post a new thread here ripping RSC a new one and you don't even know what kind of old HP laptop you are trying to run a cutting-edge (ok, bleeding-edge) 3D graphical simulation game?!?!?!!

Before people make posts like that they should consider one thing (and this isn't just about TS/RW).... there are a few dozen customers around the globe having [mostly genuine] problems with this new simulator game version... and a few thousand customers are NOT complaining, apparently running the game ok. That would tell me that I need to look closer at my own situation before claiming that the whole product is trash.

Sorry folks, but sometimes I get tired of hearing people try to run bleeding-edge software without bleeding. If your system isn't up to the task, you should have never upgraded. And if you didn't backup your system/game before the upgrade, then you are partly to blame for your own situation (although I also think RSC should do a much better job publishing specs and product testing).

It may not like one of the BIN files. Can you isolate which engine is causing the problem?
