It doesn't play well with others.

Is anyone else having an issue with Fraps? That utility has always been a drag on framerates, but now it's pretty much unusable. I was editing some road lofts on a "clean" test route with no scenery, just flat green terrain. I was getting framerates in the 180's. Two seconds after activating Fraps, the framerate was NINE! I moved the camera and it floated back to 14fps, then crashed after going to TWO fps. What in the world could be causing this?

Running Rw3, no TSX, 8gb ram, quad proc at 3.0ghz, 300gb drive space.

Have you tried Fraps with any other games to see if it reacts the same?

The only game I have is Railworks. I didn't know there were any others? !*roll-laugh*!

The comparison I have is with Railworks 2. My framerates would drop into the low 20's, but I still got acceptable videos out of it.

If it's still the same version of Fraps, I'd say that RW3 is not utilizing memory or CPU/GPU properly/efficiently.

Yea, I know. You already knew that. !*roll-laugh*!
