Asset Block Issues

Hi all. I am having an issue using the asset block and wondered if anyone else is having this issue as well or is there is a fix for it. I lay down the asset block and the double click is bringing out the RH fly out. When I first lay down the block, the density is an astronomical number and completely unrealistic. When I go to change it to say 200 or more, it won't do anything. When I close the game and re-open it, it goes back to the same super high density. Any thoughts for ideas on how to overcome this issue? Are there minimum settings for this asset block to work correctly?

I've had this problem as well. I just kept typing in the density number I wanted until finally stuck. Another bug that needs fixing.

When I try to use it, the density is set to 10,000, when I click on the number it changes to 0, then I change it to 1,000 and all is well.

This issue is really peeing in my Kornflakes. If I dont click the asset block just right, i get 3,000,000 of whatever is at the top of the asset list. Not just Railworks, but the entire desktop locks up! I've tried using the Task Manager to kill Railworks, as its the only program still working, but in the end, a hard reboot is the only solution. I've lost lots of editing time due to this issue.

A nice feature would be the ability to create and export asset blocks with a predefined item, size, and number (the latter two are there, however).

From what i have found, the safest way is to double click on it is on the yellow highlighted box. double clicking on the pull out things doesent always work. but i am selecting alot on the decals underneath the editor. my best advice is to go slow,

New info here.

I just took a look at the Asset Block.bin file. Near the bottom is a Density meta-tag. It is set by default at 10,000, which is way to high. I reset mine to 100. I have yet to try it out as im not at home right now. There are also settings for predefined width and length of the asset box before resizing. One thing about this though is that there is no setting for Scale, and the density number was way different than what i've seen.

If anyone with RW tools would like to verify this, the file is located in

Assets/Kuju/RailSimulatorCore/Editor/Asset Block.bin.

If you make changes to the file, be sure to delete your blueprints.pak files before opening RW again to ensure you have the latest settings.

Ok, the first try did not work, so I reset the thing to zero and cleared the cache. Now, when I select the Block Asset editor, there is 0 density trees, so now I can go in and plug my number without the thing locking up the system. Win one for the users! !*brav*!

It might be a good idea to make a clone of the asset block so that it doesn't get over-written with a verify cache procedure.

On mine I can't get it to do a thing, no matter what I do it refuses to place anything.
