Superelevation Not Woking

Unread postby pschlik » Fri Sep 23, 2011 10:55 pm

Ok, made a topic so it'll be a bit easier to get replies. Anyway, I can't get superelevation anywhere to work, even in place that they had screenshots of superelevation (the one withe the F7 near San Bars.) it still won't do anything and idk how the heck to get it working.

Superelevation has to be configured in the track rule you are using or it doesn't work.

Can you tell me what track rule you are using?
The word?..The word is no. I am, therefore, going anyway..

The SanB_Bars_Mainline Track rule is already configured for Superelevation. I just checked it with RW Tools.

I think he's talking about no super-elevation in existing routes. As stated in the FAQ,

Why haven’t all the routes in RailWorks had all the new features added?

Unfortunately lots of add-on content (both from RailSimulator.com and other developers) use the core routes in RailWorks. If we make certain changes to these routes, we break lots of scenarios and so we have chosen, at this stage, to keep them in their current form. Of course, all new routes we make will make use of the new technology.

No, they won't add it to existing routes because it would break the old scenarios for those routes.

Since Super-Elevation has to be written into the track rule, does Scale Rail have this in it?

Yes, you only must use a track-rule that supports it, the track type doesn't matter.

The san-bar super elevation is wrong anyway. The ballast is buried up to the rails and the other side is floating in the air.

I have tried a couple of times to get this to work and can't seem to make it happen. Perhaps when the new users manual comes out it will have some good step-by-step instructions for this.

Ok, so I have laid a section of test track with the easements button checked. I then go back and with the select tool, select that very same section of track and then check the super-elevation box and then click to make the change happen but, I don't see any visible change. Am I a suppose to? I am using SR SP track but, I don't if this track rule supports SE. I really want to get this working. Can someone who has figured this out already give me a hand. **!!bang!!**

ScaleRail does not yet support Super Elevation. An update is coming, however. :D
Cheers!
