I have re downloaded rw for up tenth time. it says physics x not initialized? what can i do? i also get a world icon instead of railworks logo icon please what is wrong of course i cleared cashe and checked integrity and as always thank you.

figured out agia physic x but whats up with the world logo?

Having the wrong icon is a Windows thing. Make sure Windows is up to date. I had that happen to all my game icons after doing a repair to Win 7. Had to get all the updates all over again.

nope that didn't do it computers up to date this is so strange do you think the upgrade from rw in 2 weeks might fix it?

I can't be of much help, but it doesn't sound to be a Steam or RW issue, but something amiss on your PC or in its settings. Your best bet is to get this solved before the update.

OK, this may get nasty. What version of Windows and do you have the install CD? I suggest doing a repair of Windows because something's not right. Could be Flash, Adobe, .net. Do you run anti virus and anti malware?

You could try CCleaner: http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/ Run the basic cleaner tool, then run the registry tool.

If you have the Windows CD, I can walk you thru a repair. You shouldn't have to reinstall RW 10 times to get it to work.

Is this happening with just RW or any game you have with Steam? What about other applications?

Wow thanks guys. Ok I have ccleaner and tried that first no luck rebooted etc. ran antivirus no luck. I guess you are talking about the win 7 install disk? Should I do a repair from that? ps When I reinstalled deleted all rw files and steam apps files. I tried to download from my rail works disk but it failed to reinstall agiea x so I had to reinstall it. Checked files integrity and right from the down load I had some files reacquire I have never had a problem with this till now. The reason I have to keep reinstalling Is I get mad an delete the thing and go back to msts so I can run trains. In rw I am tired of fixing broken activities and what not. But I do like the graphics. I have spent so much money on it that I guess I have a right to be mad. I just want what I paid for to work I don't care if they make a billion dollars It just needs to work. and as always thank you.

reinstalled again same as before icon is world instead of rw logo. I am lost I guess I will have to hose my whole computer and maybe it will work do you think they black listed me or something ? it only happens with rw.

What is the version of your Nvidia driver?

Kev, did you reinstall RW or did you reinstall Win 7?

Reinstalling RW won't fix your problems. Windows has a problem. Take a deep breath, do this.

Put the Win 7 disk in your DVD drive. Reboot, go into BIOS and set the boot drive to the DVD. Boot to the Win 7 disk. Tell it to install Windows. Don't freak. Windows will stop when it sees that Win 7 is already installed. It will ask what you want to do? Tell it to repair the existing installation of Windows. Gonna take a while, but this will fix Windows. All your files, folders and programs should stay intact. I have done this several times with Win 7, seems like every 6 months I have to do this. Hope this helps.

Thanks Arizona Chris,but it did not work either.I am doing a whole reinstall. Oh well I don't have to reinstall much because I only use this computer 4 Sims.

well I finally got it to work and it loaded correctly I hope. I am now going to let it sit till the update. I have been thinking of buying more stuff but I'm scared to.
