NEC Bugs Thread

Unread postby SithMurcielago » Thu Aug 25, 2011 9:39 am

This thread is specific to point out bugs rather than having to create other threads to point them out. I found quite a few myself.

AEM-7DC

I notice with the marker lights, the top middle one is one. It shouldn't be as that is the Emergency brake light indicator.

Traffic Lights

With the traffic lights, when passing over a signal it doesn't turn to red as it should to indicate a train has passed by. The same goes when the signal is pointing is the opposite direction that is use by a train traveling opposite to the signal.

All in all this is a good route. I disappointed that RSC didn't put a decent passenger view for the amfleets as many people have requested it.

That's one of the problems with image hosting sites. You're dependent on their server, and if it's busy, well.....

I'm not saying not to use image hosting sites, just pointing out the possible problem with them.
I do admit though that ImageShack seems to be one of the sites that has this problem, but it's certainly not the only one.

I think a better forum for this topic would be in the Problems and Peculiarities forum, and it might be a good idea to sticky this for a while. !*cheers*!

My finds (so far):

- In the "The Big Apple" freeroam, I crashed into a train in Newark. (This is also a scenario with broken consist.)

- "Early Clocker" Career Mode scenario: it's ridicolous, you can't be successful if you obey the cab signal system (cab speed) - it took me five addtional minutes to arrive at the final station and I was as fast as possible, just obeying the cab speed (I assume it's the same with all the other scenarios)

- The AEM-7s speed control: If the signal changes the cabspeed, the speed control starts the alerter. If one doesn't go into "Full Service", the alarm will continue and eventually stop the train. So, one is forced to go into "Full Service" to stop the alarm, but when doing this, the Career System gives you negative points (a lot). !*hp*!

- Career Mode and AEM-7: The Career Mode shows a warning sign for "Fuel Use" every few seconds. It doesn't abstract points for that, but it's very annoying. This sign even appears if one only accelerates in the first notch.

Some of the free roams have broken consists supposedly that will be fixed. Mine fixed with a "clear cache" but then unfixed when I went out and went back in.

Hi,

There was an update to the route yesterday, however there was a mix up with us and steam and a file went walkabout.
The fix should now be live so restart steam to make sure you have the correct version.
Sorry for the mix up but it seems that if something will go wrong it's bound to be the version that you don't want to go wrong! :)

As usual any issues please email Support.

regards

Everything is working now.

Now this makes the wait for RW3 seem even longer.

Great route guys

I found another bug:

When I'm trying to create a scenario at NY Penn Station, I can add trains directly inside the station. There seems to be an invisible barrier that won't let you add trains at the platforms. Is anyone else getting this problem?

The X key doesn't seem to activate the sanders regardless of if I'm wheelslip or not.
When running the 45 minute Early Clocker from Philadelphia, I got a 110mph speed limit, and was doing about 111, and the train flipped over. This wasn't a grudging flip over, this was instantly as soon as I entered a curve.
I'm not sure if this is a bug, and I'll do research on how real life works, but other than looking at the F3 window, I don't know about upcoming speed reductions until I'm blasting through them.
