Burlington Northern (BN) Passenger Car Pack Re-Paints

Unread postby robbit » Mon Aug 15, 2011 11:57 am

The chair cars work great but I followed the instructions to the t and tried putting the GeoPcDx files into the perspective Carriage folders as well and neither the baggage or dome cars will work.

They appear in the list but when I click on them to add them to the Scenario it shows they are selected but they do not add to the scenario. there just is nothing there. Any Idea what i should try next?

And yes I do have the Challenger add-on.

Have you tried clearing the blueprint cache?

Similar results after multiple installs. The original UPRR cars look great, as do the BN coaches, but nothing on the BN dome or baggage cars, not even an error or a lock-up as is the usual result of a missing file. The new files look ok, and seem to match up with the originals. I'm at a complete loss.

There are a few issues I believe with this pack and think the builder needs to look into them. Numbering and Textures also look like an issue.

The readme states:

1. Move BN Dome and BN Baggage to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\IHH\US Railroads\RailVehicles\Passenger

Incorrect as indicated in BIN File:

Move the BN Dome to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Railworks\Assets\IHH\US Railroads\RailVehicles\Passenger\Dome car\BN Dome
Move the BN Baggage to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Railworks\Assets\IHH\US Railroads\RailVehicles\Passenger\Baggage Car\BN Baggage

5. Move text.TgPcDx to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\IHH\US Railroads\RailVehicles\Passenger\Baggage Car\Default\Coach

I suspect this TgPcDx file was meant to go to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Railworks\Assets\IHH\US Railroads\RailVehicles\Passenger\Baggage Car\Default\Coach\textures

If you do this and overwrite the existing file in that folder I suspect you will loose the Union Pacific name on the default Baggage Car.
