sorry guys none of these work should I delete it all and start over? I did this maybe something went wrong deleted steam and railworks tried verify game cashe nothing works. and as always thank you.

No need to re-download RailWorks all over again.
It seems like you're experiencing a problem with the Steam-client or some settings.

Make sure you're running the Steam-Client and RailWorks executable files with Admin level privileges.

From the Steam-client Steam settings, try unchecking the following options:

From the "In Game" tab, un-check the "Enable Steam community in-game" option.
From the Downloads & Cloud option, un-check the "Enables Steam Cloud synchronization... " option.

From the Library, right-click on RailWorks, Properties, General-tab, un-check "Enable Steam-community in game" and the Updates tab select "Do not automatically update this game".

Then try going into Offline mode from the Steam-client.

If that still doesn't work, here's details about how to do a Clean Install of the Steam-client.
Follow the instructions there so you won't have to re-download your Games you got via Steam.

no luck reinstalled steam & railworks nothing. still get no login information on this computer must I reinstall win 7? I will lose msfs I am very mad.

What specific message or problem is it that you're getting?
Can you tell us the steps you're doing and what is happening?

If you're logging onto a different computer (other than your first computer you installed the Steam-client on), Steam-guard may prevent this at first until you check for a verification code that is sent to your email address associated with your Steam-account. I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem you're encountering, but thought I'd mention just in case.

saa no steam login information on this computer. it will work online but not off. did all the aforementioned now going to try with no avg or uac. ps thanks for all the help.

In your Steam folder, find and rename the "ClientRegistry.blob", to something like "ClientRegistry.blob.OLD", or move that file completely out of the Steam folder.

Once you launch Steam, this file should automatically be re-created. Once you go through the process of the tips as suggested previously and then go into Offline mode, then hopefully it will work for you.

Also, right-clicking on the Steam folder, Properties, make sure it's NOT set as a "Read only folder" (maybe your Windows / Anti-virus, etc.. or something else messed up those settings for that folder).

If still having problems after all of that, I'd also suggest to do a "Verify integrity of game cache" on your RailWorks to help ensure all files are up-to-date and installed properly.
From Steam-client, Games Library, Right-click RailWorks, Properties, Local Files, Verify integrity of game cache.

seems I have done it. renamed the blob thingy and started online then went back off and it worked. well so far that is. I just want to say thank you so much for your help.

heres one error i got steam.exe main exception error: delete of steam.exe failed,win 32 error 5 access is denied.
