"Midday Duties" Problems

I'm trying to run the new Portand Terminal "Midday Duties" activity but keep getting error messges.
First, I found that the G-TRAX_DblStk's listed as part of the Portland Terminal are actually a seperate "Free Ware" Download from the G-TRAX Site.
Second, I cannot locate the "Caboose\Boxcar\def2" or the "Caboose\Boxcar\default" files. They are not Kuju Railworks default files.
Third, I'm told there are broken consists
And Finally there are missing markers for three Guilford GP40's.
This does look like an interesting activity and I look forward to running it if the problems can be rectified.

Duncan,

I did not have any problem getting the scenario to start up. I do have your missing boxcar in my library but I do not know if it is a default car or a repaint of a default car. There were no broken consists or missing markers. I assume you have tried to reload the scenario?

Ok, by changing the missing boxcars in Railworks Tools I have determined the problem is actually with the first three box cars you have to pick up on Rigby 57. Replacing those three cars allows the scenario to run. I would be interested if someone who has actually picked up those cars without modifying them would post as to what there supposed to be.

Well, the creator of that scenario did log in to the forums about 9:00 am this morning. I don't know why he didn't offer any help on this. !*don-know!*

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but just seen this post.
The 3 cars you need to pick up from Rigby 57 first are 3 boxcars
Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\railvehicles\freight\caboose\boxcar\def2\wagon\box_car_def2.bin
Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\railvehicles\freight\caboose\boxcar\default\wagon\box_car.bin

I thought they were stock items. check those 2 lines in your assetts and you should have them if not you can replace them with rwtools.
I hope this helps.
I will keep an eye out for responses from now on to see if it helped or not

Robbit,
In my install of “Midday Duties”, the boxcars are found in Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\RailVehicles\Freight\BoxCar\, not in Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\railvehicles\freight\caboose\boxcar\ as reported above and by RW_Tools. This is why the boxcars are reported as missing. Kevhead is correct. rbox10.zip is found at http://www.trainsim.com/file.php

When I tried to swap the boxcars in RW_Tools, I could not save them. I got a weather error something like “RW_Tools could not find the weather folder”. I selected “Set Weather” and selected \Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\Weather\RW_Stormy_HeavyRain.bin. Now, I no longer have the weather error and I was able to swap the boxcars using Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\RailVehicles\Freight\BoxCar\Def2 & RBOX in the “Find Available Rolling Stock” area of RW_Tools.

After downloading and installing GX_DblStacks_RW1 from http://www.gtraxsims.com/ and rbox10.zip (above) I still get missing lime hoppers. I have no \lime\ folder under the \coalhopper\ folder. I have been unable, thus far, to find any lime hoppers on the web. I deleted the lime hoppers with RW_Tools.

After:
1. Repairing the weather
2. Replacing the boxcars
3. Adding the double stack cars
4. Deleting the lime hoppers
I now get 6 “Missing Marker” errors when loading the scenario.
This looks like an interesting scenario and I would like to fix it but have no clue as to how to proceed. Does anyone know how to fix the “Missing Marker” errors?

I am not sure what markers you are missing.
And i got the list of assets from rw tools
sorry for the confusion of which cars I will try to do better next time.
But to my defense this was my first senerio and it all worked fine here.
If you can be more specific on what markers are missing that might help because all the markers are default to the route. I did not add any markers to that senerio

Robbit,
Here are the "Missing Marker" errors:
Missing Markers.JPG

I don't think they are problems in your scenario. I've seen this before but never discovered what caused them.

Did you delete this scenario from your computer, then download it from RW America and install it from RW Package Manager? This is the only way to know for sure what your "customers" are experiencing.

Also, could you tell us where you obtained the Lime Hoppers?

Thanks

Ok! Sorry about the missing rolling stock Items I was wrong about them being defaul here is where you get the boxcars and lime hoppers:

Limestone hopper
http://railworksamerica.com/cgi-bin/dl- ... l?file=086

Boxcars on Rigby 57 you can get here:
http://railworksamerica.com/cgi-bin/dl- ... l?file=170

As far as the missing markers try adding these to pieces of rolling stock then maybe try reinstalling the senerio.

I deleted it from my machine, then downloaded it from RWA and had no issues.

Hope this helps.
Let me know if that helps.

Eureka!!!
After installing GX_DblStacks_RW1 and LIME_HOPPERS, I deleted, then re-installed Midday Duties. It still threw the following errors:
Scenario Failed to Load.JPG

I went to RW_Tools and replaced the boxcars and re-directed the weather. Now, Midday Duties runs!!! I was correct about the "missing marker" errors. They were figments of RailWorks imagination. They didn't really exist.

I have no idea, Bob, why your copy runs ok but mine can't find the weather files and tries to find the boxcars under \freight\caboose\boxcar\.

One last thing. I was able to download the LIME_HOPPERS from the URL that you posted here. However, when I try to search for the hoppers using the RWA search engine, I get "No results found" every time. Any ideas here?

Thanks for everyone's remarks in this thread.

Sorry noo ideas about why search does not find them. But my idea as to why the missing markers is because of the missing cars. all the markers that were missing seem to correspond to each cars movement. pick up 4 at gravel loader and there were 4 missing markers there, and them dropping them off at rigby 30 the other missing markers.
I am glad you got the scenario working and I hope it is to your liking after all the work you had to do to get it working.
