HERE WE GO AGAIN! ! !

Unread postby kcs_fan » Tue Jul 12, 2011 5:18 pm

Friends, I am not having any luck at all. First it's the sw1500s that only go in one direction. Now, I can not load railworks. Getting error:

ERROR: Failed to convert from cBlueprintLoader to cControlBlueprint: cControlValue pointertype.FILE:../API\core/cFx Exception.h LINE 113

Help?

Have you installed any customization's recently?

You can try to verify the files. Here is a guide:

After verifying your installation, you can also try to use the "Clear Cache" button from the RailWorks launcher window, the Tools & Docs tab, as in some cases that also helps to resolve some issues when RailWorks doesn't work properly.

And sometimes just a re-boot works.

Did the re-boot twice. Cleared the cache as well. It locks up every time I try to open my custom line I have been working on for two months. Will try the latest suggestion. Thanks!

Hold on... did you say custom line?

I bet you dounuts to dollars something went squirrely with your route (trust me it happens all the time). Do you have a backup of the route you can swap it out with to see if its the problem?

No backup, is a work in progress. However when I did the verify thing, it told me there were 17 files that were replaced. After that finished, everything loaded like it was supposed to. Now I am back to my original problem of my brand new SW1500s only running in one direction. I don't understand it all but I am learning as I go, I guess?

You should consider backing up your custom route. Its so easy to tweak something and find yourself starting over. I am still paying for it with my route.

If you will go to the topic SW 1500 switcher addon, we talked about it. It seems there is a bug if you try to run it in simple mode.
as far as I know, there isnt / wasnt a fix for it yet.

Switched to intermediate controls and everything works fine. I did, however derail about 40 boxcars I was trying to pick up from the mill siding. Couldn't stop in time and hit them too hard~ !DUH!

It gets a lot easier with practice. Look for 2.5mph or less at contact.
