SW1500 One Direction Only???

I just purchased/downloaded the SW1500 add-on from Steam. I placed a couple units on the track and assigned a driver (me). Started to switch the yard when I discovered that the engines will only go in one direction. Anyone know what this is all about? !*hp*!

Styckx had the same issue. You'll need to fix the BIN file.

Or... since BIN files can be shared (via the informal rules of repainting) perhaps someone can hand you their fixed version.

Are you sure you linked to the right thread? I didn't see a post by Styckx in the 8 pages of that thread about this issue.

BTW! If you click on the little paper looking icon in the top left of a post, it will give you a link in the address bar to that specific post. *!!wink!!*

Hmmm. I didn't need to mess around with any bin files.

But I did have a similar issue... When I did apply the brakes and come to a full-stop then switched direction, I did notice that sometimes the engine would just rev and not move when I put up the throttle a bit. It's like the train was "stuck" in place.

Then, when in-cab view, in noticed there are two separate brakes I found, the "AutoBrake" and the "Independent Brake".
Releasing the brake using the F4 Driver's HUD sometimes only seemed to release the "AutoBrake", but sometimes the "Independent Brake" stayed on.

When this happened, from in-cab view I had to grab and manually move the "Independent Brake" lever all the way to the left to release it, then when I applied a bit of throttle I was able to go in the opposite direction as I wanted then.

"AutoBrake" is the big brown-handle looking lever. The "Independent Brake" is the smaller black-handle looking lever underneath.

Don't know if this was the same issue you guys were having, but it worked for me.

I'm using simple controls. Haven't "graduated" yet. I did find the post regarding the changing of the .bin files. WAY over my head here friends. !*hp*!

Dru,
Go to intermediate. It's a lot more fun and the problem should go away. One evening or less will be all it will take to fully get the hang of it.
Buzz

and check your PM.
