There was an update today that removed TSC content and rendered the game unplayable. It has since been corrected and a new update has been released.

At least they found and fixed the error. In TSC circles it will always be "The day TSC died"

Perhaps you should remove your post as everything has been fixed. No issue here as it happened in the middle of the night and has been fixed.

I can't delete the initial post but I did update the original post to explain the current situation. I will leave it to admins on how to deal with this.

So just to clarify... If an update occurs do I do it or not?

Maybe so but maybe not, and I am glad it happened in your night and there is no issue "here", but for those elsewhere (or even for those "here" and for whom you don't speak who were using the sim overnight) it was daytime and quite a few people seem to have lost some or all of their installations which could include 3rd party DLC, mods, tweaks etc. etc.

A lot of angst out there sadly, people need a place to cry!

The update has been removed so nothing to update just like me.

In my case I got D/L and everything quit working. Then two hours later it D/L another huge D/L and now everything is back to normal. As far as I can tell so far nothing was lost and all is well.

Backed up my stuff just in case. Installed the update, all is well. Glad I caught this before I installed anything this morning.

Are there patch notes for this update hiding somewhere?

Makes you wonder what happened to early adopters of Preparation A, B, C, D, E ,F and G.

I have posed that question to DTG on their forums.

This type of error happens a decade ago also.
