Left Path Error

After finally learning how to place the portal, I set up a scenerio for an AI train to leave a yard and travel through my hometown and end at a portal on the other end of the line. About a mile into the trip I keep getting an error saying that my engine has "left the path". What have I done wrong????

I've been pre-setting the switches of the AI path before I save, but sometimes it still does it. The portals are still very buggy sometimes.

I too have been pre-setting the switches and saving after every one. Then when I start the scenerio, they all go back to their original setting. Anyone else have a clue?

I've been following Otto' s post over TS fourm and he was testing the signal blocks to stop that from happening. Its kinda hard to trouble shoot with out being able to see how you have the track, switches, signals and portal set up.

Understood Flatbush. And the possibility of me packaging this thing for sharing ain't gonna happen soon. I still haven't mastered the basics.

you could post some screen shots of the junctions and signals close to the destination and let everybody have a look see, then work your way back up the line. If somebody sees something, I'm sure they'll comment . Here lately I've been doing a lot trying to get AIs ( for candy ) running in a switching scenario. I'll help ya all I can.

News Flash! ! ! Went back over my signals, placed more, double checked them. Got three of four trains to run the scenerio with no hitches. Do not know what happened to the fourth train so I drove it myself. I think I might be making some slight progress! ! !
