"Sky" Problems

Unread postby gtw5812 » Sat Oct 02, 2021 8:24 pm

I have recently been having graphics problems with the "RWA an Few Years Later" and the Cheyenne Extension routes....weird graphic problems happen, when only looking in certain directions I have verified the cache and game files....any ideas?

Thanks,
Galen

that's a 'leaking texture' I think. Meaning, a certain .bin object has a faulty texture.

Since you say it's a problem with the sky dome, best check in the RouteProperties.xml which 'skies' and 'weather' are entered there, and make sure the linked assets are present and intact.

TS_Tools might not find a missing texture since I think this graphics fault means there is a broken texture, so at last resort install the route and it's dependencies anew and look carefully which files get overwritten.

Those routes are the 19th century steam era routes I do not have, but perhaps they come with their own sky dome and weather assets?

You've probably figured it out by now, but that issue is because of DSGDDR's locos. They require the RSC K4 locomotive and the K4Pack01 from RSC has to be ticked when using DSGDDR locos in scenarios, otherwise this strange "sky bug" happens. DSGDDR himself has uploaded a video about this topic.
