Coupler textures....again

I just bought Cesar Pach's (Lord Mannu) Alco DL-109 from Steam. Overall, fairly well pleased with the model but not the engine sound files. I have already replaced those with Alco sounds that more closely resemble the true guttural low chugging sounds of the 539T engine that I remember hearing as a kid from these great loco's. But I digress. I was disappointed to see missing textures on the front coupler and air hose, a topic that was mentioned in this post almost 4 years ago, but for a different loco. viewtopic.php?f=29&t=19236 You would hope that perhaps this type of texture omission for couplers would have been addressed. Don't know if that issue was ever resolved.

DTM is only reachable via Facebook which I do not subscribe too and will not. If there is anyone on this forum who has made contact with DTM in the past, I would be very grateful if you could send him a message in regards to my issue and ask him if there is a patch available for the front coupler and air hose texture. Hope someone can help.

Thanks
Chris

Diagnostic Question:
Does your DL109 coupling folder have all of these textures?
Coupler.jpg

The issue you linked from another topic seemed to have been the coupler calling a different DTM texture folder (which is why QA doesn't notice and neither does he).
You could try turning on all of your DTM DLC one at a time and seeing if that actually fixes the issue.

Yes, my Textures folder looks exactly the same as your attached pic. Does your copy of the 109 show normal textures for the front coupler? See my attached pic. The only DTM DLC I own is this one. And thanks for helping.

Antwerp:

Here is a pic of my Type-E folder. Does yours look the same?

My files look just like yours. Could it be a detail setting?

I honestly don't know Buzz. What and where would I look? The texture anomaly appears on all my 109 variants.

Put this into your AlCo DL109 NH (unzipped of course) and see if it does anything. Folder should just say Couplings and be in the DTM\ALCO DL109 NH folder.

Couplings.zip

No cigar. Deleted Couplings folder and installed the one you attached, unzipped. The coupler remains white as well as the air hose. Baffling. I have done two verify files via Steam so I'm getting what data is in their database for this DLC. How long ago did you get this DLC? Got mine last week.

Right after it came out. Thinking about what might be happening and haven't come up with anything yet. Going to go look at some of the other DTM stuff I have and see what it looks like.

Check this possibility.

Prr Couplings.zip

Make sure it's in the folder specified. The installer should put it there.

Googats? That sounds serious. !*roll-laugh*! I tested it and at least on mine it's looking at the proper texture.

ISP was apparently moving buildings and the outage was only supposed to be overnight. But they hired a couple of jamokes and goombas to move the stuff and they left the equipment that makes the internet work behind. Don't worry, the secretary's finely padded chair made it just fine.

You can light your Cigar! Installed your folder and the sim liked one of them although I have no idea which one. Coupler is now a dark, dark shade of grey (some would call it Black) and only the air hose tip is white. I can live with that. I would love to know which file in the multitudes in your folder. I will save this file for future use if I have to do another Verify Cache again.

Thanks for your help.
Chris

Looking at the white tip of the air hose, I had to laugh wondering if this was the Cesar's hand as he was trying to fix it!

OK, opening the Railworks folder that was part of the PRR folder you sent, it specifically references the Alco FA-1 so I'm guessing the missing texture(s) was in this folder. Would you agree?
