Steam Locomotive Stability Issues

I'm having some issues with certain steam locomotives I have installed. The stability issues I'm experiencing are not game stability issues, but rather stability of the locomotives themselves. More than a few of my Britkits locomotives refuse to stay stable on the track above seemingly random speeds. They will jump around randomly and then eventually derail. This also happens with a lot of the MSTS conversion locomotives.
I don't know what's causing these issues and would really like to fix them. I know how to open .bin files, I just don't know what to do from there to fix this. I would really like to be able to run my Mountains a little bit faster than just 50 mph or whatever the game decides it wants to derail at. Any help is much appreciated.

I've never gotten any help fixing this issue with the MSTS conversion locomotives, although, I've only had this problem with the ATSF 2926 myself. I don't run the European models which are included, so I would not know if they have this problem.

As for the BritKits loco's. I would suggest writing a clear, precise and "respectful" email to Mr. Dick Cowen on his BritKits website about the exact problem you are having and which locomotives it includes. I just had a conversation about this issue with him concerning his Class C Shay last week (The tender would "jump track"). And he fixed both it and the Class D Shay version he has. I'm sure he would be willing to look into the problems you are having. I have just bought his Heavy 4-8-2 Mountain myself and "so far" it's been fine.

I hope that helps. Please keep us all posted if he does fix the issues so that we can redownload the files ourselves once he's updated them.

Good Luck.
