Crossing signals pick only one track

Unread postby CSXAC60CW » Mon Feb 25, 2019 12:07 am

Hi everybody, earlier in game I was making a crossing for a double track and my game crashed.. went back into the game to reinstall the crossing, and now when I run a train over one of the two tracks the crossing will not activate even after putting multiple markers on both tracks.. as if the crossing picks which track to work with.. I just wanted to know if any of you might have had this problem or know how to fix? !*hp*!
thanks in advanced

sounds like the blueprint of this route you are trying to get these signals to work with have caused an error or already had an error within, and now it seems to be corrupt. A couple of things that I would do if it were me.

1. Always backup your assets and routes for the game, (especially the routes that you choose to edit)

2. Run logmate, see what error's your getting, which may be the cause.

3. Clear Cache in the game

Also when editing are you doing this TS version in 32bit or 64 bit?

I never get any errors or crashes.
but I edit in 64 bit, I'm trying to figure out how to clear cache... does it remove all of my 3rd party??

If someone tells me to clear the cache, I usually delete the six files within the Railworks\Content folder that have the word "cache" within the title.

Clear cache in the game, go to settings, then tools, then you will see "clear cache"

I believe we just might have found out what happen, as I posted in a different post, since TS19 came out, it was best not to edit with the 64 bit, but instead 32, due to multiple errors with dlc routes, 3rd party etc.. so your best option would be to only run 32 bit to edit, and play the game in 64bit, you may have just broke your route.

I thought that was established weeks after DTG introduced 64 bit, edit 32 bit, play if you dare in 64bit.

I play in 64bit all of the time with no issues and I also do my painting in 64bit. It appears to only be a problem with the editor feature.
