Screeshots in publishing scenarios

I cannot remove my 50 screenshots in the publish box.
I had 120 screenshots in TS and have deleted all but 3 as I thought too many screenshots might have been the problem.
The same 50 screenshots still appear in the publish box !
How do I remove these and will my 3 new shots then appear in publish box?

Thanks to some help from trainman4 I have solved the problem.
The 50 screen shots for the publish window are stored on my computer at Steam/userdata/71781673/760/remote/24010/screenshots
When you eventually get there you can delete the screenshots no longer required.
New screenshots when uploaded will then be saved to the vacant spaces for the publish window shots (up to 50 maximum).
Now I can sleep at night
