No wonder the driver can't find his destination!

Recently I installed Keith Ross' modification of the default GWML route (UKTS_27592_GWML_for_TS2012), and it does look much better than that old workhorse. The track layout is, with the exception of one branch to Heathrow Airport, the same as the default route, so activities designed for the default route work with this better one. But with one little hitchey-poo …

I installed a default scenario called "Overtaking the broken man" from the Steam Workshop which works fine in the default route, but on Ross' modified version presents one with this error message:

Hmmm. So I clicked on the edit button to go to scenario edit and typed in the lat/long location (which turned out to be Hanwel) to see what the AI driver was seeing; this is what I found:

Well no wonder he couldn't find his destination; there's a roadblock (or, to be precise, two of them) in his way! So to see whether or not this was a scenario-specific situation, or a more general route problem, I went into the route editor and went back to Hanwel. Here's what it showed:

Yep, it's a route problem. Now I have a few questions:

1. Do those buffer stops represent an end of a track section, or rather two track sections, placed back-to-back, or
2. Are they simply separate track objects that can be removed?

I've never fiddled with the RW route editor (though I have done editing for years with the MSTS equivalent), so depending on what y'all say those buffer stops are, how would I go about removing them so that the poor driver, who has mouths to feed, can get back to work and get his paycheck per usual?

Many thanks for your thoughts in advance!

Regards,
Dave

I'd try using the 'weld' function in the route editor at that point in the track. Click on the grey box that shows up above the track after you click the weld icon. Then see if the path you were referring to above can be found by the AI.

TS2012?

Buffer is end of line. Here above you need to weld these two lines to make it a single piece.
