So when I go into the scenario editor I tick some stuff mainly search light simulations ( note this is quick drive) and then I hit the play button loads and crashes this happens on solider summit, Sherman hill, and Stevens pass

Try hitting the F2 button first then do the save.

Does this happen in all other types of scenarios that you try to edit or just QD?

Did you add the Searchlight items before you hit the F2?

Well then how can it say there are no changes to save if you made a change? Try adding a loco or something in the asset box. If it doesn't recognize a change then something else is amiss.

There is nothing wrong with the game. Either you don't have enough memory or something else is messed up. You aren't describing your problem very clearly. You say it says it made no change yet you didn't tell us if you added a loco if it showed there was a change or not when you hit the F key. Then you said sometimes it crashes. When and where? All these things would give us clues about what your problem is. The game runs just fine if it's set up and running right.
