Changing locomotive default direction: LHF vs SHF

Unread postby rallymodeller » Sun Apr 22, 2018 6:54 pm

I'd like to be able to change which direction a few locomotives use as their #1 end. It's an honest request:

The Brazilian group Worksim makes some fine locomotives that while not seen often (or at all) on American roads are still worth having. Trouble is many of them default to either the Horseshoe Curve GP7 or the GP9 pack for their cab views. This creates a problem where the cabs used are SHF in view, but the external models (the old freeware EMD G12, for example, or their fine Baldwin AS616) are all LHF.

I'd like to change one of two things: either the default direction to SHF so it matches the cab, or the cab view itself to something like the NS GP38 or the vR RS11 so the view out the windows is correct.

My attempts at changing cab view haven't been super sucessful; I am no coder.

Can someone help?

I think Buzz looked into that as well and iirc it's something built into the geo or in some similar way difficult to correct.
