I've tried searching for solutions to my problem and it looks like no one else has run into these issues.
So I'm trying to make a very fictional route that is very loosely based on the electrified sections of the Pacific Extension of the Milwaukee Road. I'm afraid I've run into an issue where when I use the overhead wire tool, it places the wires and the arms far too low for the trains so that the wires go through/underneath the pantograph instead of on top of it. I've tried different track rules and different track types from different routes and I'm using US wire tools.
I guess to recap, what's happening is the route editor is sinking the overhead wire supports into the ground far below where they should be for US trains.
I'm using Marias Pass as the "basis" for the route if that makes any difference. I want the route to look somewhat decent/realistic but I won't bother with the overhead if I'm going to have to reset the height and angle of every single post.
I wasn't sure if anyone had encountered this before. Also, if anyone has tips on how to make the overhead wires and third rails angle and bank with the tracks on the superelevated curves, I'd love to know how to do that. Like I said, if I have to go through and edit every single support or node and rewire everything then I just won't bother with the visual aspect of it.
