The alerter is turned off by pressing "Q". As for HEP, I don't think it was coded in on this engine.

English lesson 101. "How do do you turn it on" Which are you talking about? The alerter or the HEP? A complete sentence would be helpful to those trying to help.

According to the inputmapper, the "M" key starts the HEP generator and "Shift_M" shuts it off. I haven't found a way to to enable the Alerter for this locomotive. Keep in mind that these generic add-ons were incomplete so the HEP and/or the Alter may not be scripted or properly implemented. Meaning it's it hit or miss if they will actually work.

I don't think DTG coded in the HEP generator in this DLC like they did with the Surfliner F59's.

The coaster F59PHi is the same one. It does turn the HEP gen sound on and off. The Metrolink F59 does not have any HEP sounds. I did a little sound experiment this morning with them. !!*ok*!!

Works for me and I have made no changes to any bin files except for FanRailers mods and my brake fix. Not sure what you're trying to achieve, all it does is make extra noise. Only way I found that it made noise was I had to shut the prime mover off with the "Z" key to hear the HEP actually start.

very interesting I would fanrailers mods but I have a sound mod installed and it says in the read me " Please note this pack does not work with FanRailers mods. If you do attempt to install his brake mod it will break multiple sound functions due to engine.bin changes I've made. Please let this be a warning
to you".

Ah you have that sound pack. Yea I don't use their add-ons since all it does it mod sounds and does nothing really for the handling of the train. Since you have that sound pack and modified bin files than the HEP either is already on or it's not used at all in the sound mod. Sorry I can't be anymore help. If it was me I would ask the sound mod creator directly if how they set up the HEP sounds if they even did. The Alerter won't work either way unless it's been written in to function correctly and DTG didn't do that so it's permanently off unless someone writes a whole new script for the engine. !!**sorry**!!
