B&O Route scenario problem.

Unread postby JohnT » Sat Mar 24, 2018 7:38 am

Hi all,
to-days Railwork's conundrum concerns yet again another WShop scenario. Namely "Coal Duties" for the B&O route. For those that want to verify the problem, go onto steam - workshop, then scroll down RHS listing to routes and select the B&O route.
The problem is, no matter what I do cannot get a tick for the first task. Albeit I can couple to the wagons and pull away with them being added to the original consist as per the WOrder. It's as if everything is working, but the program refuses to acknowledge that coupling has taken place.
Is this a long standing bug? Have tried re-installing the scenario but same problem persists.

I do not have the scenario but it sounds like a duplicate rail number issue

Hi, do you mean there are repeated wagon numbers? For e.g wagons in original consist have same numbering as those in the 2nd consist.

You are right JohnT you cannot complete the first task. I just tried it. Two things that I have noticed, 1, there is no yellow line for the siding on the F4 hud display and 2, you also don't get the red countdown bar when you have coupled up and stopped, which usually tells you when it has counted down to continue on to your next destination. I have messaged the author.

Thanks Trev,
for the confirmation.I checked the build /scenario timetable but could not see anything glaringly wrong. But there again, not really clever enough to rectify anything outside of timing probs. Just wonder if the route is missing a marker or something.
Anyhow, glad to see I'm not alone with this problem.
Thanks for putting my mind at rest.

yes that is what I mean. If there is a duplicate rail number either in the same consist (but normally not)or somewhere else you will nopt get the check because it sees the other car with the same number and you have not hooked to that one.
