Hi I have been having some P42DC sound problems with the Gtraxx/RSC.I have had these engines for some time now since then I know the sounds have.Been updated since they first came out I have downloaded those updates that were here in.The F/L since RSC has had the recent.Updates I no longer get the sounds like it had,That sounds like the real P42DC they still sound like the old.P42DC sounds like Gtraxx ones.And not the real P42DC sounds has annyone one here at the same.Issues I am having?

You say you downloaded a sound upgrade from RWA and used it on the P42DC, but now the upgrade does not work?

yes that is correct still getting the original sound before the upgrade.I must be missing a file I looked in my folders,the bin files seems alright too me,But when I'm in the folder play the sounds in the folders.I hear the updated sound like a real P42DC.

Can you give a link to the pack you downloaded and installed? Can you also attach the GX_P42_Amtk.xml file here so I can glance at it?

Also, clear your cache in the settings and replace the locomotive in your scenario after clearing the cache.

its not in the F/L anymore was a few years ago I think the topic was are you ready not sure.It was for both RSC Gtraxx P42DC.

Well, let's just try clearing the cache for know, that is, unless you already tried. I do have both versions (GTraX and RSC) as well.

no luck cleared that same issues dose yours have the real P42DC Sounds?

No, I do not. If you would like, you can attached the "P42DC Engine Sound.xml" and the "GX_P42_Amtk.xml" files here so I can look over them and possibly help you out.

So, your audio files are indeed the upgraded ones that you downloaded, correct? There is a reason the sounds are not working. I just have a hard time helping if I can't view your files. Maybe you can attach the Amtrak folder here via Google Drive (or some other site) so I can view the files and try to test it out myself.

I can't post/upload those files/folders cause they are payware files.Also I believe that the problem is in the P42DC Engine Proxy bin file & the P42DC Engine proxy xml file.

The only thing you cannot redistribute is the .GeoPcDx file inside the "Engine" and "Cab" folders.

what do you show in your RSC P42DC Engine Proxy xml file mine shows,G-TraX\Genesis\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\P42DC

If that is in your RSC version, then that might be an issue. Change the GTraX directory to RSC and make sure the file paths are the same in your RSC version by looking through the folders.
