Does anyone know how to fix the missing coupler textures for the new SP sd45t-2? they just show up white with yellow no texture box, Even if I just have to replace the whole coupler somehow if someone could tell me how to do it that would be amazing. Thank you!

I think you have a problem there my friend. Check and see if your texture files are there.

I do have a texture file in the coupler section that has both a hose and a coupler TgPcDx file, but there is none in the railvehicles/diesel/texture. Only the hose TgpcDx file. Would copying the coupler from the couplers folder to the diesel folder fix this perhaps? Thank you!

Maybe not, as generally speaking, locomotives have separate couplings folders, along with a Cabview folder and a Bogie Folder, so, the bin file, GeoPcDx file and textures for the couplers would all be in their own folder, not in a locomotive engine folder, as such.
I'm afraid in this game it's a bit of trial and error, and lots of experiments to see how things work, I haven't bought this particular locomotive DLC pack yet, so, I cannot check the folder structure for you, have you attempted to download the pack again, I assume it is in an .AP file, just move that out of your Assets and put it into another area of your computer and download the pack again from Steam, it might not have done it properly first time around, which is not unusual, either, there are no limits as to how many times you download and install anything.

I tried removing the .ap file and reinstalled it and still no texture, and you are right about the file structure. The coupler, audio, and other files are indeed in separate folders. The interesting thing is all of the included rolling stock with the engine have textures for the coupler and hoses, just not the engines themselves. After looking on the steam forum it seems other people have the same texture issue as well. Hopefully it's something DTM is aware of and will put out a fix for. If not it's a small detail I can overlook. Just something else to add to the ongoing list of TS faults LOL!

Well, I've had this game since the days of Kuju, which was 10 years ago, and nothing surprises me anymore, its very hit and miss at times, yet, it's funny that Buzz's screenshot above has a nice coupler with textures, and the guy who has done a repaint of the Cotton Belt locomotive on the SD45T-2 page has a nice coupler, so, it's all gone wrong somewhere, let's hope it gets sorted out very soon.

After further searching, i found people with DTM WP GP35 have the correct textures for the sd45t-2, which I don't have. I have also had RW since Kuju and have had my share of phenomenon with it. Thank you for trying to help, I love how the community here is quick to offer any suggestions they have to issues, and don't make a person feel less in the process. Like I mentioned not having coupler textures is only a small detail I can over look, because it's an amazing engine.

Just got home from work and here's the skinny. There is one Couplers folder which is right under the SD45T-2-SP folder. Inside that there is this:

Inside the Textures folder there are two TGPCDX files. One is Hoses and the other is Coupler. It should be 172 KB.

The no textures on the couplers was also an issue for some with the SD45-2. From DTM FB page quote, "Just discover this. It seems couplers call a texture from a different DTM pack thats why no one on the QA testing notice the problem. I'll sent a fix to DTG next Monday." I have left a message on DTMs FB page about it and they will most probably release a fix for the issue.

DTM are sending me the fix and I shall upload it here.

I'll be interested to see this since the paths all look okay to me without diving into the Geo.

Just as long as it isn't the AT&SF SD45, that nobody outside of the USA can purchase, then, we might just be OK!!!!

Here it is. Is a WinZipped RWP file. Cannot upload RWP files to the forum so I had to put it into a WinZip file. Hope it works as I have never done that before. Buzz456 you can put the file in the library if you so wish, as I have permission to share it.

still no dice. Oh well small potatoes. I'll just wait on the DTM fix through steam i suppose. I still love the locomotive even without couplers, and the rolling stock alone was worth the price tag.
