Bring up Railworks (via Steam) everything is OK, click "Start Railworks 2" and I get "something bad has happened".
I just installed Win 7 SP1 so may be that is the problem. Does anyone else have this problem?

RW runs fine for me after Win 7 SP1. Have you done all the usual stuff: verified the game files, clear blueprint cache?

Yup.
I moved the original Railworks folder to a safe location and I am now reinstalling through Steam. If this works then I can start adding packages back in.
Update: That did not work....

I uninstaller and reinstalled again, but no luck. I did notice one thing. The tracing app they provide shows that its reading my game settings, which means that they are stored in another location apart from the files under the Steam folder. Does anyone know where and what this file is called? I would like to remove it and see if this is cause of my problems.

I cannot find any files specific to Railworks in my User or AppData folder.

Update: Solved
For some reason my EVGA utilities were interfering with RW2. They did not do this before, and I suspect that Win 7 SP1 did something to change them.
Now I have new problem, but I won't post about it until I hack at it for a bit.
