Well I haven't been able to enter train sim since... oh god... August? Been busy with school but I was modeling some locos for the game. Anyways, it seems in my absence the game hasn't taken it well. Its hard to explain but I will do my best.

When opening a route everything goes fine so I set up everything for a run (this happens on multiple routes). I load the scenario to drive and random things (even the track the last time) will randomly show as missing texture. After that the game dies on me and spits out a dump file. I find this odd as I haven't touched the assets folder since I started on the break from the game. Is there anybody here that would have an idea on whats happening? I really don't want to start from scratch again as I got 48.6 gig of assets I've downloaded over the years and have a route using many of them. any help would be greatly appreciated. thx.

First clear the game cache. If that doesn't work go into your library and re-aquire assets. This may take two or three times before it says everything is there. If you are stll having trouble check back in here.

well steam just finished booting all my custom sounds so lets see how this works. and yah i could but alot of the assets i got are no longer available (not from RWA)

well the lag is gone for the most part but 2 of the 3 locomotives i got placed are missing texture. solid missing texture.

well i thought the good ol' ctrl+s key combination for screenshot worked but obviously it hadn't or id post some screenshots. the locomotives textures are all missing. what should have been buckeye rail GP30 and C30-7 turned into a big missing texture wrapping the entirety of the locomotives surfaces. however a C39-8 (the SMM digital one) (im modeling one of my own. haven't tested it yet) was just fine. odd. ill keep experimenting. thx so much for the help

seems my culprit is the old Scale Rails. im gonna try reinstalling that and weel see what happens.

Well scale rail is back. The DTM locos seem to be causing most of it. Playing on blackwood creek with the eyein12 gp 60 and still getting crashed every 5 mins or so in editor and every 15 playing. I've verified game cashe and everything and still nothing. I'm beginning to think I'll never get to the projects I've started...
