Amtrak Dash 8-32BWH Throttle Is Wrecked

Unread postby FHRob » Wed Dec 07, 2016 7:38 pm

I've noticed the throttle on this engine doesn't stop at notch 7. Additionally, it's very hard to move the handle out of setup when using the dynamic brake. !*hp*!

Could somebody who owns this engine please comment.

I'm using a keyboard and the HUD. Are you able to use notch 7 with these inputs?

Yep. Just ran it. I suggest you uninstall and reinstall. I have no indication of these issues. Runs in both 7 and 8 with no problems.

Uninstall it from your steam library page by unticking it in the items window. Wait for it to say not installed then tick the box and it will download again.

I uninstalled and downloaded again, but notch 7 still doesn't work. !*not-ok*!

Any other ideas?

Do you have InputMapper mods on it?

I tried both keyboard and mouse. The throttle skips from 6 to 8 and 8 to 6, no matter how careful I am moving said input device. I can see the number 7, but I can't lock onto that position.

The last time I drove this loco the only engine sound it had was the idling sound even at full throttle, now today when I drove it the engine sounds are all there.
