I was trying to load the quick drive menu to look at some locos, clicked custom, confirmed and it started loading the assets. It got to about 80% complete then crashed. Retried a few times with the same result but I managed to catch this error message:

I cleared the cache, no fix.
Verified game files through Steam, no fix. (I really need to set up two click backup for my modded stuff).
Went into the editor and placed pretty much every loco individually, no fix. But I did discover a few that are not working.

Does anyone have further suggestions as to how I may resolve this?

Go here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\dev\Shaders

Look for TrainBumpEnvMask.fx

If you ran a shader mod you may find TrainBumpEnvMask.fx.o bak or something else.

I did have Alpenfreights Weather Improvement mod installed (not the newer reshade) and I did a local verify last week or so, maybe that got borked.

Further research it looks like you need both TrainBumpEnvMask.fx and TrainBumpEnvMask.fx.o

If either or both are missing, let me know. If they are both there, I have no more ideas.

Welp, no luck so far.

Both files were there but just to play it safe I copied in replacements from a backup I made a few moths ago and I still got the same crash. I'll keep messing around with it though.

Too bad. Good luck and if I can think of anything, I'll let you know. Meanwhile someone else may have an answer
