Reppo GP20 and Raildriver ...

I love the locomotive and often use the advanced cold, dark startup. But the throttle lever on the raildriver has so much hysteresis that it is impossible to get notch-to-notch actuation. And it is all too easy to end up past idle and shutting the loco down.
Does anyone know, is it possible to unbind the Raildriver throttle lever from run and dynamic braking while keeping everything else? I would either reassign a couple of the blue keys for throttling, or a pair of convenient G-keys on my Logitech G15 keyboard. Or can I just disconnect the wiring inside the device from the throttle without making the MacroWorks go crazy?

I found a video where Matt Peddlesden modified part of the Script_210_210.mw3 file which shows how the levers are coded. He is using the loco brake lever for the throttle which almost triples the resolution. And the throttle lever becomes the loco brake lever which doesn't need such fine resolution. It might be a work-around for using the GP20 in yard switching which would never need a dynamic brake. And he shows how to imbed a loco name in the code so the change would only be used with a certain loco. Anybody already done this, or am I plunging into the deep and alone?
