Hi guys!

After the UP Gas turbine "update" from DTG,my game decided to revert all my sound mods to default. So I'm re-applying them, but I can't find the location of the proxyxml for the BB or challenger in the new ap file.I follow the proxyxml from the whistle mod to find it in the ap,but when I do,nothing is in there!

Anyone know where it is?? !**conf**!

DTG decided to pack the BigBoy and the challenger in the "new" ap file format. This is basically a form of zip file and can be treated as such. Before you follow the steps in the readme that comes with the mod you should extract the appropriate folders and files into the same location as where the ap reisdes. In case of the Bigboy this would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\BigboyPack01
Make sure no additional folders are created so there should be no UnionPacificBigboyAssets folder but after extracting you should see a folder list containing am Audio folder, Particles, PreLoad, railNetwork, RailVehicles, Scenery and System folder as well as a .sdn and a .sdn.md5 file. After this you should be able to apply the mods you downloaded following the readme that comes with it.

A word of caution. The extraction might not "stick" depending on your system if you do not run your zip program (be it 7zip, winzip or other program of choice) as administrator. To make sure this is done by default you can right click the desktop icon for the zip utility and choose properties. in the new window choose the compatibility tab and check the option "always run as administrator" you find near the bottom. Click Apply and Ok and you are set to go :)

The Search engine is our friend:

viewtopic.php?f=29&t=14683&hilit=big+boy+sound

If you have a backup of an earlier version of TS, like 2015 e.g., it's not difficult to restore the sounds. Even I did it!
