Scenario Editor Temp Dump...

OK....

So I'm scratching my head here... Yesterday my scenario editor was working just fine. I didn't do any updates to TS2016, unless steam did something overnight... but my PC was off so that really is out of the question. Any time I try to create a new scenario or even edit an existing one, I now get the infamous "Temp Dump" error and TS 2016 crashes. Again, this is with ANY scenario... or even creating a new scenario. I am not sure what is wrong. I've tried it on multiple different routes. I can "drive" just fine, but can't do any editing of scenarios or creating.

Any one else getting this problem? Any solutions? Nothing has changed since yesterday.

I get the tempdump error every now and then, especially when I wish to save a running scenario. I press F2 and want to click the button, and just then the tempdump error jumps in. I feel with ya, meow. :(

Time to do the ol' local cache verify, I guess.

Be aware thought that doing this will reset any DTG file that you have changed.
It won't touch 3rd-party assets or routes, but if you have applied, say, a physics mod on DTG assets, you will have to apply this mod again.

Can't I simply just backup my entire railworks folder before verifying local game cache, then merge it all back together & overwrite, or just copy the mods like sounds etc from the old folder and put them in.

Verifying the cache fixes any "official" files that have been damaged, including those that caused a crash in the first place. Restoring them in any way would just recreate the problems that you verified the cache to fix. Re-installing the modifications (not simply re-copying them, since some of them may have been damaged and thus be part of the problem) is a much better idea and there's a relatively easy way to do that, using a small program that I think is available in the RWA file library.

I actually don't use 3rd party modifications, so this is as much as I can suggest to you.
