Input Mapper question

Unread postby dogmouse » Sun Sep 06, 2015 10:09 pm

Hi,
This is a question for those who have made their own locos for Train Simulator:

How/where do you set up the Input Mappers for your loco in the BP?

Currently, for my loco, I have no keyboard commands. I remember reading about setting up an "Input Mapper" folder, which I did, and added an .xml file that has all the standard keyboard commands in it, but Im not sure where the connection needs to be in order for my loco to know that when I press the space bar, the horn sounds off, etc.

Any help, or directions to any documentation? The dev docs that I have dont really have pertinent info, unless I am missing something?

Thanks
Rich

Here's a more definitive question:

How did you set up the "default" keyboard commands in your loco's BP? I don't need anything special. I just want to be able to use the standard keys for the various commands, i.e., space bar for the horn, "V" key for the wipers, "H" for the headlights, etc.??

Anyone?

Then you don't need to add an input mapper file.
The game will use the default one in Kuju/Railsimulatorcore.
If that fits the bill for you, you have nothing else to do.
