BN F45 Wheel Slip - Can This Be Adjusted?

Unread postby FHRob » Sat Sep 05, 2015 10:14 pm

The wheel slip indicator on the BN F45 seems to illuminate more often than on any other locomotive.

Can this be adjusted to a more realistic setting?

If not, can the wheel slip indication be eliminated, as I doubt it's prototypical?

I'm always editing bin files with the most important tool known to TS, RW Tools. !!*ok*!!

If you can post the needed edits, would be most appreciated.

<DryFriction d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="0000000000000040" d:precision="string">2</DryFriction>

You will find this line in the engine bin. Change to value as shown. With this value you won't get any slip at all. Lower if you want some slip.

Krellnut:

Thanks for the information. !!*ok*!! I changed the value to 1.5.

FYI, this is the original line: DryFriction d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="000000C0F528E43F" d:precision="string">0.63</DryFriction>

BTW, what do the encoding numbers and letters mean?
