B&M Branch Route Three Way Switch

I've really enjoyed the B&M Branch Route. I live in Vermont and have always loved the Claremont Branch of the B&M. I cloned a scenario with RW Tools that starts with the B&M RS-3 1505, and there appears to be a three way switch set against this locomotive I can't figure out how to get it out of its siding.

Whereabouts on the route is this switch located? This was my first route and so there were quite a bit of problems with the track and such

At the northernmost end of the engine facility north of Crosby Station you have two locomotives parked: Service 4 and Service 5. When I activate the B&M RS-3 1505 (Service 4), the turnout just in front (south) can't be set to allow it to leave its siding. There are three tracks that funnel into one turnout; I can switch the other two tracks successfully, but there is no way to get the RS-3 out. Thanks for putting in so much work and creating a really interesting and relevant -to me anyway- route.

I'll take a look this afternoon and see if it can be fixed. I'm glad you enjoy the route, it was fun to build even though I wish I had known then what I do now about route building. It might interest you to know that I have another rural B&M line in the works and I believe this one will turn out a lot better !*salute*!

That's great news. I'm looking forward to the new route.

Rick, I don't have your route, but the "fault" being described is most often not a fault at all, but due to the engine sitting a bit too close to the switch. Before doing anything major, I'd suggest simply moving the engine farther from the switch and seeing whether that removes the problem.

I moved the RS-3 as far back as it would go; it is definitely a three way turn out but only can be set to two positions. The same for the one just south of it.

I'm not seeing a three-point switch in my copy of the route !*don-know!*

I did go back and revise the route a while back, fixing and relaying a lot of the track. A lot of changes were made. I did upload the corrected route but I'm not sure if it was ever added to the file library, I'd be happy to send you my copy and you could uninstall yours and install mine

Rick, Service 4 (RS-3 B&M 1505) cannot get out of its siding in Crosby. It is next to B&M GP7 1557 (Service 5), which can get out. The third siding of the turnout, which can also be accessed, is empty. These two locomotives face Service 3 (B&M SW9 1220), just south of the three way turnout.

I took a picture but can't figure out to attach it here.

Feel free to send me the new version of the route at munkelwitz***at***alum***dot***mit***dot***edu.

On another matter, I've successfully installed your B&M GP7 repaints but when I try to install the MEC GP7's (carefully transferring every GeoPcx file in the Default directory), there is no image in the Consist Builder and there are no inside/outside images when the loco loads. Thanks for doing these.

Not a good idea to publish your email addie in clear text. Use this format "Name<at>domain<dot>com" to confuse the bots that collect email addresses for spamming. Better yet, send a PM to keep your addie private.

Rick, the MEC problem was solved by realizing I must have cut the GeoPcx Cabview files from the Default folder when I did the B&M models.
