Hello all,
I don't know if anybody else is having this issue, but on the old G-Trax DLC steam locomotives (Berkshires, SPS 700 Northerns, SP GS-4 series Northerns), the brake reservoir is only 90 psi when first starting out, approximately what the train line pressure is when fully released, and the air compressors never kick in to replenish the air supply. This means, as you gradually use up the air in the normal course of applying and releasing the brakes, that the air brake system gradually loses the ability to become fully released for want of air, and the brakes get stuck on so hard that you're essentially fighting the brakes to move the engine.
I was wondering if it would be possible to go into these engines configuration files like I used to do for my old MSTS locomotives and re-work their air systems so they'd function correctly, with proper air reservoir pressures and so that the air compressors would kick in to keep the system topped up so the brakes would release all the way. I'm not that familiar with how to modify TS:2015/Railworks engines, so could someone please explain how to do this if it is indeed possible? Or am I just wasting my time?
Any and any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Brendan o.
