Track Markers not functioning

I started to work on my own scenario after a couple of days "rest" when I wanted to mark a track with a destination marker. What normally is an easy task, turned out to be kind of weird:
The marker normally consists of 3 posts of which the middle one has a coloured cone. This one just has the two that you can stretch.

I noticed also that on any other scenario in World Editor mode no marks on tracks can be seen; only on the 2D map. See attachment at the top: here I stretched one post a bit and got Destination30, the original placement is now Dest19. And big empty space in between.

I have done a validation of files and when that did not worked, I deleted and reloaded TS2015 and it still does not work.
So as of now everything else works normal: career, standard and quick scenarios.

My specs: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E4600 @2.40GHz (2 CPUs), ~2,4 GHz. Free space 97 GB
Memory:4096MB RAM, available OS Memory3582 RAM, DirectX 11

Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670

I appreciate any help to solve this as I like creating scenarios

First of all, the editor has two levels, route and scenario. Track markers specific to a scenario should be placed only at the scenario level; if you place them at the route level, they will show up in all scenarios, but only in your installation, so if someone downloads and installs your scenario, the markers will not be there. I know that some folks like to start writing a new scenario by opening the world editor, but I've never seen the point of that and you run the risk of placing markers, rolling stock, and what have you at the world level instead of at the scenario level.

To place a scenario-level marker (destination, siding, or passenger), select the type of marker you want from the list, align your mouse pointer with the spot where you want the marker to begin, then push and hold the left mouse button and slide the pointer along the track until it reaches the place where you want the marker to end, then release the mouse button. Actually, a track marker has three visible posts: one at each end and one in the middle. Double-clicking the middle post brings up an option box in which you can give the marker a name. This is the second box from the bottom. Delete all the text in that box and then type in your marker name. Click anywhere outside the box to close it and you'll see your marker with its name; if the name isn't visible, press F6. Use the end posts to change the length of the marker after you've clicked the middle post. Sometimes grabbing an end post is a bit tricky: just be patient.

I thank OldProf for his comments. I have been trying out your suggestions but have had not much success. For years I have followed the same procedure when creating a new route : via the main menu "Build" , get a texture, standard/free roam, name of route and then I hit Edit. Never had problems with markers, others yes.
Well I keep trying. Thanks again.

Hi

This is to do with the visibility of the Markers being randomly switched off.

The way to resolve it is here -

Hi Bob, you hit the marker right on the head. Thanks a lot, would not have thought to check that.

This is a weird thing that seems to be happening more and more regularly nowadays. No idea why. !*don-know!*

Anyway, glad you've got it sorted.

Cheers
