Hart-felt Switching Parts 1, 2, and 3

Unread postby skseber » Wed Jun 17, 2015 12:55 pm

Hey all, I'm hoping Tom Pallen will see this post and help me out or anyone else for that matter.
I downloaded Tom's Hart-felt Switching Parts 1, 2, and 3 for version 2 of the VNHRR route. Followed the install instructions, a window pops up saying they were installed successfully but when I start the game they don't appear in the scenerio list. I'm not new to Railworks and have at least a fair amount of computer savvy. Anyone have any ideas??

All I can suggest is that the scenarios should appear when you select "Drive", then "Standard", then the VNHRR route. They should be there.

At the moment, I don't have the route installed on my computer, but it should be there in a couple of days & I'll download and install the scenarios and see how they run (great title for a song!).

EDIT: I have now installed the route and the scenarios that don't show up for you. They do show up and do run for me. Is it possible that your TS2015 installation is located in a non-standard location, for instance on a drive other than C?

Tom, thanks for taking the time to do that. I tried for the third time to install them. My Train Simulator 2015 is installed in the default path. Clicked on the .exe file and got this message. I know TS 2013 is two years old and I have TS 2015 but I don't know any way to change that.
Any way, thanks for going to the trouble to help, but I've just about given up. I guess I'll just have to live without Hart-felt Switching Parts 1, 2, and 3.

Eureka! I had no idea that you were trying to install the scenarios to TS2013, nor do I know what difference that might make. However, since you were able to install the route itself (and perhaps other additional scenarios?), let me suggest one more thing.

I packaged those scenarios using RW_Tools, which means that the specific scenario files not only exist but can be accessed separately within the package (whereas in a RWP package, everything is hidden). So, try moving down through the package's sub-folders until you come to one named Scenarios (the path is Hart-felt_Switching_Parts_1_2_3 > Hart-felt_Switching_Parts_1_2_3 > Railworks > content > Routes > c42bd51-etc. > Scenarios). Open that same path in Windows file manager. Copy the three scenario folders (each designated by a long string of numbers and dashes) from the Zip package to the corresponding folder in your TS2013 installation.

There are folks on this forum who know a lot more about this process than you or I and I'm surprised that none of them have chimed in here. This is almost certainly my last idea and I hope that it works for you!

LOL! No Tom, If you re-read my last post, I said that I DO have TS2015, I was just stating that the popup says "Install to TS 2013" and wondered if that had anything to do with my problem.
I may try that file copying trick in your last post though, thanks, and happy fathers day!
