89ft TOFC with 28ft Trailer Set Problem

Hello forum. Newbie here. Im having a small issue with which im wondering if someone can help me. Im running the Steam version of TS2015 build 52. something? I downloaded the TOFC set from the downloads page and got the parcel package as said in the installation instructions. I then put all the files into the folders and copied the ones I need to and installed them in the addons folders as the instructions said to do. I go to Quick Drive from the TS2015 menu and to build a custom consist. On the list under wagons the TOFC cars show up with no trailers. So I went to the TestTrak as its called in game to activate the boxes in the editor. Im now able to place the cars with trailers on the track (I still cant figure out how to make the consist I built drivable mind you).

My question is: Is there a way to set these up to be quick drive compatible with the trailers on them? I ask because I have an assortment of pre-made TOFC consists that I would like to insert these cars into to get rid of the default trailers, and to then be able to use these consists on whichever of my routes I choose.

Or have I done something completely wrong? Which is probably more than likely LOL.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have all the requirements. Have you copied the GeoPcDx files over. Below from the D/L page.

Hi TS 2012 Fans!

This is my new 89ft TOFC with 28ft Trailer Set.

FlatcarRTTX90:

Your must be the Original Canadian National SD40-2 Wide Nose RailWorks Add-on from RSC (Steam) installed :

This can be found here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/24052 ... uggest__13

or the old FlatcarRTTX90 from Railsimulator(RSDL) installed.

Copy the Assets Folder to Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks\

Copy the Flatcar_RTTX90.GeoPcDx , Flatcar_RTTX90_trucks_1.GeoPcDx and the Flatcar_RTTX90_trucks_2.GeoPcDx from the Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks\Assets\RSDL\USWagons01\RailVehicles\Freight\FlatcarRTTX90\Variant1 Folder in all my Repaint Folder.

Your must be the original Parcel Equipment from James Ray (SCLJim) installed:

The Parcel Equipment is freeware.

In the editor you need to check the following box : Note also the photos of the editor

Kuju - RailsimulatorUS RSDL - USWagons01 SCLJim - Scenery MZ - IZ

I have the SD40-2W addon. I copied the three files from the Variant 1 folder and pasted them into the main folder for each car and not the textures folder. I have the addon itself and the Parcel Trailer Pack (SCLJims). I installed the other files into the other folders where they went according to the path inside the zip file and the path inside my Assets folder. When I got to a dead end per say (meaning that as I went through the folders in the zip and got to the point where the folder in the file wasnt already in game) I dragged and dropped straight into the spot. So that the folder as it appeared in the file would now be in the same spot in my common files. I installed Parcel Equipment before I installed the trailers.

Those are my exact steps. Im new to modding this game so maybe I broke it somewhere?

Cars aren't loaded by default in Quick Drive. If anybody knows of a way to have loaded cars in QD, it would be great to know.

Start a QD. Edit the scenario. Select your whole consist, either by shift clicking on it or in the editor check select all. Double click to bring up the right hand flyout. Put a check mark in the box. Save. Done. Loaded consist.

Have you also done this.

In the editor you need to check the following box : Note also the photos of the editor where you unzipped the contents.

Kuju - RailsimulatorUS
RSDL - USWagons01
SCLJim - Scenery
MZ - IZ

Also I never unzip files directly into the game but into a separate folder then manually copy them across. Most readme files will tell you this.

Ok ill give that a try. I just find it odd that in scenario editor I can add the trailers but when I go straight to Custom Consist in the Quick Drive menu the cars show up with no trailers. And also with no trailers when the train is loaded in the game.

Asset folder MZ came with the mod. It contains lights used by the models....specifically for this mod, it’s the EOT and EOT2 mods.

The pack works without the MZ - IZ assets. As Gtroger stated, they are just for the FRED/EOT for the cars marked with them.
