Main Menu Not Loading Properly

I'm using the 2014 main menu page, which has the picture of three trains and boxes to select drive, career, etc.

This was working fine until I installed my new video card. Now it appears as if the boxes are about to freeze, although this hasn't happened yet.

I believe there was a Adobe Flash update recently, so this may also be an issue.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert :D

What's your new video card and did you install a new driver at the same time?

I bought an EVGA GTX 750Ti. I have the latest drivers installed, 350.12.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the vertical sync. settings in NVIDIA control panel.

I have the same exact card which is a couple of weeks old. I have 347.88 driver and it works perfectly.

Captain:

That seems to do the trick. *!!thnx!!*

Question - How do I stop Windows from loading drivers automatically? Each time I uninstalled 350.12, Windows would load an older version of the NVIDIA drivers. I tried to prevent this, using the option in devices and printers, but no go here. !*hp*!

Click on the start button, then all programs and find Windows Update open that and change the settings. I'm still using the 347-88 drivers also.

Yes, you want to set it up to only update Windows not other programs.
Even with Windows Update set up that way, a person should always check the "Optional Updates" before downloading the updates. Microsoft hides things like chipset and GPU driver updates under the optional heading.
Never let windows install updates automatically. Always set it up for manual updating, or at least in a way that lets you go through and check them first.
If you find something like an Nvidia driver update you don't want, just right click on it and select "hide this update". That way you won't be bothered by it again.

Yes I have my Windows update set to notify me when some are available. Usually find out when I'm about to turn the PC off with a Windows update notification icon by the shut down button.
