Another method to install RWP files?

Unread postby Railroy19 » Thu Mar 12, 2015 9:10 am

I'm still having a problem with the NET Framework files. I can't get them to upgrade to version 4.
Anyway I have to find a method of downloading or installing RWP files, because my TS Utilities no longer work.
Could some kind person show me another way to accomplish this procedure :D
I finally got my sound back in TS2015 !*YAAA*!

Thanks,
Bob

Use 7-zip to extract the .rwp file and manually copy over the folders into the appropriate file structure.

7Zip will open .rwp and .ap files - they appear to be a renamed zip. You can download 7Zip from http://www.7-zip.org/ .

My tip is to run 7Zip in 2 Panel mode - View 2 panels. Then open your .rwp/.ap archive in one panel and navigate to your destination folder in the other. You can then just drag the contents of the archive to the destination.

If you are extracting from a .ap in this way, make sure you change the folders/files to Read/Write afterwards - when extracted they are Read Only. Right click on the extracted folder(s) and choose properties. Then untick the Read Only check box and OK twice.

My railway photos are back - you can access them from this thread viewtopic.php?f=24&t=21667a . Lots of UK steam and early diesels from the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Would you mind sharing what you did to get the sound back?
