In trying to create a McKeesport Connecting RR scenario for the P&LE route I ran into a random bumping post (see photos). I've never done any route building. Can someone help me with a simple solution to fix it?

That has to be fixed by the route author if you want to distribute the scenario. Does it cause a crash? If not just ignore it. You can fix it but it will only be on your end. I ignore a lot of stuff that I have to.

The bumping post is at the switch leading to the group of industrial tracks I need to work. If I (or some compassionate soul) were to repair the spot, couldn't they upload a fix to RWA?

It could be fixed, although I don't know how to do it.
Someone fixed a spot like that on the Horseshoe Curve route.

The bumper is there on my install too. But I was able to run a train straight through it.
There also is a loose switchstand on the same spot, perhaps the creator intended to put a switch here.
A route is this size and complexity is bound to have some small errors here and there.
Perhaps the bumper can be removed by cutting and re-welding? Is Thomas Bontempo still available, it is his route and any permanent fixes should go through him.

I ran into this on Sherman Hill recently. You'll need to go into the router editor, select the problematic piece of track, delete it, and then undo the deletion (ctrl-z) and it should right itself.

Thomas quit on all his routes. They are all so big they are unstable and he could not keep his computer from crashing. I have seen him in the Run8 forum, so he may have switched over...
