Today I thought about repainting the New York New Haven SD40-2 into NS paint. I took all the files out of the .AP file and into normal folders and the route still works normally. I then made everything not read only. After editing the XML's and then saving them back to the Bin's, I started painting. I went into Railworks to test what I had done, and the locomotive will not show up in the list. I triple checked all the Bins and there is no error that I can spy. Anyone know how to make this work?

Did you make a new folder for the NS and name it that?

Yes. I copied the Default and renamed it to NS. I also have all the PROXYXML files looking to go to NS instead of Default. I did this one like any other of my repaints.

Send me the bin file and I'll see if it looks OK.

proxyxml files are used only for sounds.
Why are you changing them?

Your post is rather confusing. Repaints involve editing the texture files, nothing to do with proxyxml files in general.

Repainting is more than just editing the texture, unless you want to get rid of the original for the new scheme you want.
I am trying to keep the default CSX while having an NS paint, and you can't have two repaints with one folder. I have to edit the PROXYXML so that the PROXYBIN can be directed to my repaint, rather than having my repaint just be looking for all the files in the default. And my problem is that doing this, exactly what I did with each and every one of my other repaints, is not working.

And yes, I brought back an old thread because I still have never figured this out.

They are not PROXYBINS, just plain bins. That why you are confusing people. If you are changing some Proxy file that is the wrong one.
